Outpatient Therapy Groups
St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute offers a number of Outpatient Therapy Groups that may be beneficial to you or your loved one:
As a standalone treatment approach!
Outpatient group therapy can help you learn from different perspectives, create a sense of belonging and are a therapeutic tool which blends both professional guidance and peer support.
As a Bridge for Specialty Programs!
If there is wait time for the Specialty Program you are interested in, Outpatient Group Therapy can be a great bridge for treatment while you wait for an opening in your preferred Specialty Intensive Outpatient or Partial Hospitalization Program.
As Aftercare!
Once you complete your Specialty Intensive Outpatient or Partial Hospitalization Program, it will likely be helpful for you to continue your treatment journey by doing weekly or biweekly Outpatient Group Therapy to keep your recovery gains going!
As a Complement Services to Outpatient Individual Therapy!
Sometimes, individualized outpatient therapy treatment is not quite enough for the treatment goals you have. Outpatient Group Therapy can be a great adjunctive to add to your individual therapy services.
